The Southeast US States-Canadian Provinces (SEUS CP) trade initiative holds an annual conference with significant business-to-business (B2B) opportunities. The 9th Annual SEUS-CP Alliance will be hosted in Nashville, Tennessee May 26-28, 2016 with a theme of Gaining Competitive Advantage to Sustain Economic Growth.
Tennessee and Nashville, in particular, are known as the hub for the creative class in the southeastern United States with innovative activities as well as digital and mobile technologies cross-cutting traditional industries such as healthcare, entertainment and transportation. The profile of Nashville has skyrocketed globally with its film, digital media and music industry and others driving this success. In 2015, Nashville earned the No. 1 spot on Travel + Leisure’s “America’s Friendliest Cities” ranking. The ambitious and positive view of the future emanating from the collaborative spirit of communities, businesses, governments and institutions in Nashville will be an excellent background for SEUS CP.
The organizing committee for SEUS CP 2016 is made up of each of the jurisdictions: Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Newfoundland & Labrador, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.
Each will be recruiting top quality, small & medium sized companies as well as larger organizations, known also as Anchor Companies, to participate in the B2B matchmaking program. Companies will be from the healthcare (IT/Medical Devices), Entertainment (film, music, digital media), and Transportation (automotive, rail, watercraft, air) sectors with an emphasis on cross-cutting digital and mobile technologies. Companies will be manufacturers, technology providers, agents & distributors, retailers and corporate customers, all of whom are intent on discovering how working within the SEUS CP Trade Development Initiative can help improve their businesses.
